Job Description
As a Fund Accountant, your responsibilities will encompass managing a portfolio of clients and working collaboratively to meet their unique needs.
- Day-to-day hands-on responsibilities for fund operations and fund reporting. Fund structures may include fund-of-funds, closed-ended structures, and open ended, domiciled in various jurisdictions including the U.S., Cayman Islands and Luxembourg.
- Accurate and timely calculation of weekly, monthly or quarterly Net Asset Values for funds.
- Reconcile cash, security positions, and transactions between fund accounting records and client counterparties.
- Collate and prepare audit information as required for both internal and external auditors.
- Identify and implement process improvement techniques to improve process efficiency and team productivity.
- Work on projects / ad hoc tasks as required.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (CFA, CA, or MBA preferred).
- Up to 2 years of relevant experience in fund accounting, administration, or related financial services roles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Basic understanding of financial instruments (equities, bonds, derivatives) and accounting principles.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
